One of the most important aspects of permanency searches is contacting extended family members and potential supporters of the child. Family Connections helps you track who has been contacted, and to quickly find known people who have not been contacted.

Marking A Person As Contacted Or Not Contacted

To mark a person as contacted...

1) Open a case by clicking "Cases", click on a case, and click "Work On Case"

2) Click on a person in the Connections or People panels

3) In the right side slide out, click the "Engagements" tab

4) At the top, click the "Contacted vs Not Contacted" toggle button

5) When you toggle to "Contacted" the button will automatically apply a date/time stamp for this action. This will also roll up as an initial contact in the Reports section.

Filter For People Not Contacted

1) Open a case by clicking "Cases", click on a case, and click "Work On Case"

2) In the "Connections" panel, click the three bar filter icon in the top left

You can also filter for not contacted people in the "People" panel, using the filter dropdown.
